The National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association just posted a great article “Flood Proof Flooring: How Terrazzo Weathers a Hurricane”. on their website. My favorite quote, “Architects realized that if the only flooring saved from Katrina was terrazzo, we should use it when we build something new.” Terrazzo continues to add beauty to buildings, however now Terrazzo’s durability, longevity, and resilience are undeniable.
